PROGRAM 7:30-8:30pm – Pretty is as Pretty Does (Anita) [Abigail, Leah, Bathsheba]

~ Abigail was a beautiful woman and that's all Nabal, her first husband (a brute and a fool), saw in her. Yet when Abigail came to a dangerous crossroads, we  discover being pretty wasn't her greatest attribute.  

~ Leah stood in the shadow of her sister's beauty, wanting something she was never going to have. She felt invisible. The truth was, she was far from invisible to God.  

~ It's tough being a military wife - a young and lonely Bathsheba made a costly mistake.

When a "working" girl who ran an Inn in Jericho was visited by two strangers, Rahab had a choice to make, and she had to make it fast - what happened next changed the course of her life forever.

PROGRAM 7-7:35pm – For Such a Time as This (Anita) [Queen Esther, Lot’s Wife]

~ Esther, a poor orphan girl plucked from obscurity and placed in a position of importance in a palace. That sounds like every girl's dream come true, until she discovered she faced a life-or-death  decision.   

 ~ Lot was on the move - angels had warned him to leave Sodom and he took heed. Lot's wife was another matter.

*Training videos and materials are available for discussion group facilitators in prepartion for the retreats, combined with a one hour session with Joanne Friday, before retreat begins
